Description

As an enhancement to the Polyglots handbook, it would be nice to have some graphic material to visualize the 'Get involved' process for new translation contributors.

A first draft of infographics was created by @zetaraffix - see attached.

The related text is open to discuss in the following document: Doc: Tips for awesome WordPress localisation

Based on the proposed styleguide here, the current color contrast of these images have WCAG accessibility issues:

The infographics are a great idea!

I think once you finish up your initial infographic(s), it would be worth doing a second version of this that's web-based, rather than an image. That'll allow you to translate the infograpic itself, make it easier for people to check out on their phones, and add in clickable links for people to get started.

Like @netweb mentioned, you'll want to adjust your colors so they have better contrast. I'd also recommend thinking about ways you can represent each point graphically. Right now, these drafts are very text-heavy. I also personally find the body copy a little hard to read, because of its unique letterforms. You might want to consider using a simpler font, just for the body text.

Hey @melchoyce thanks for the feedback. Yup, I have considered both these being web-based as well as (as suggested by @sheilagomes) short videos. These are far from final, though at the moment have taken a back seat as I'm privileging the stuff necessary for GWTD ;) - looking forward to your feedback on further iterations
